No Songs Found
One fine day, while jamming to some tunes , we (Gowtham & Jeevan) hit a major L .The music player we were using had no download option, and we couldn’t even queue songs. Like, seriously? Just a basic search and that’s it? Absolute pain.
That’s when it hit us—why not just build our own?
And just like that, Medplay was born. In just seven days, we speedran the first version and launched it. What started as a fun little challenge quickly spiraled into a full-on project as users rolled in with feedback. So, we went all in—adding favorites, a legit queue system, album and artist search, and even full album downloads to make Medplay an absolute win of a music player.
You might be wondering—why Medplay? Well… it’s actually kind of dumb. When we first started, Jeevan was too lazy to come up with a proper repo name, so he just typed "med-play" as a short form for media player—and boom, it just stuck. Zero effort, peak efficiency. What started as a random, half-baked folder name somehow evolved into something way bigger—and here we are.
We're always open to new ideas and feedback. If you spot any bugs or have an awesome feature suggestion, don’t hesitate to reach out at mail@gmail.com. Let’s make Medplay even better together.
